I decided to bring my second Essentiel outfit with me to Spain to wear on the beach – something about these neon sandals screams PLAYA, don’t you think? This down time at home has been so good for me – mornings at the beach, long runs through the vineyards – its been an emotional detox for sure! I feel ready to go back to Paris, pack up and move apartment – with change comes new beginnings, and I am excited for whatever adventures this summer will bring me. As well, as finally launching my own clothing  line, which is set to launch in July. I will def. share the whole process with you very soon, from the designing to fabric sourcing to the actually making of the garments. I hope you are all as excited as I am! More tomorrow!

Sorry for the absence in blogging, I’ve been feeling a little under the weather, one of the reasons I dashed home to my family in Spain for a hot minute. The last couple of months have been full of changes; friends left, boyfriends lost (yes, plural – my love life is as sporadic as my style, it sadly seems). And while this blog is not the place to tell you those stories, I will say one thing, a lot has shifted in my Paris life and its not something I am completely comfortable with. But life goes on, people come together and move apart, and we will always initially fear things being different than how they were before. Saying all of that, whenever stuff seems to be spiralling downwards – rely on your people. Yes, we all have them – your best friends, your family; those that have stuck with you through it all. And, so here Haleigh and I are, doing what we do best: nothing at all. Lounging around at cafes, sipping on caffeine and giggling at what must sound ridiculous to anyone who might be misfortunate enough to eavesdrop. And believe me, it is the simple things like this, with the people you love that will pull you out of whatever funk/bad mood/sadness you might be feeling. More tomorrow! Photos: Catherine O’Hara

Keeping happy by hanging out all day with one of my best friends. We walked, we drank, we ate and oh man, did we laugh! I wore some of my oldest denim – a simple, cheap pair of baggy H&M jeans that during college, I bleached and slashed the hell out of. Some days, comfort is more important than style, right? Paris is such a beautiful city, I am so lucky to live here. We decided to shoot this gorgeous dress in a location that would do it justice – and what better place then the Eiffel Tower? Iconic of everything Parisian, but a monument that holds a wealth of personal symbolic value too. When I first moved here, during those first few months when friends and freelance work were few and far between, I’d take a walk over to Trocadero with my ipod and just simply sit and stare at the Eiffel. It was so therapeutic. Two years later, the Eiffel is still a visual reminder of why I live in Paris. And to think of all the countless memories I’ve made here all with the Eiffel somewhere in view. One of my best friends, Haleigh is back in Paris for a while, so we took the day off yesterday. We got Lana Del Rey inspired acrylic nails  (omg I’m in love with mine), ate burgers at PNY and then partied on a boat complete with a very pretty Eiffel view! Its been great having her stay with me – lately I’ve spent too much time with my boyfriend; I’ve missed giggling over silly things, drinking too much starbucks and just aimlessly roaming around in the sunshine. You all know how much I love a print clash – and the crazier, the better right? I spent the morning shooting at the Eiffel Tower – and we quickly snapped these photos at the end! It’s super hot in Paris today – too warm for these extra thick cotton pants/top, so I ran home and jumped into a pair of shorts. I hope summer comes soon and quickly! More tomorrow!
